Deven Lakhani has dedicated 25 years to Hammond Opticians in Enfield, where he has held the position of director since October 2000. Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. Lakhani expressed his gratitude for serving the Enfield community over this period. He remarked on the privilege of collaborating with a remarkable team and forming lasting connections with patients. He takes pride in the advancements the practice has made in clinical excellence and the wide range of services offered to ensure comprehensive eye health and visual support for the local community. Being part of a practice that prioritizes community needs is highly fulfilling for him, and he looks forward to the future of Hammond Opticians.
A celebration was held to honor Deven Lakhani’s 25-year milestone with the practice, as shown in a photo collage displayed in Hammond Opticians’ window. Located on London Road, Hammond Opticians has been a part of the Enfield community since 1932. Mr. Lakhani is the third owner, succeeding the founder Mr. Hammond and his son David Hammond. He became a qualified optometrist in 1991 and has primarily worked in independent practices, gaining expertise in areas such as myopia management, contact lenses, diabetes, and glaucoma. Under his guidance, Hammond Opticians has become known for its clinical excellence and has received several accolades. In the last two years, the practice has won five awards, including Independent Opticians of the Year from the London Prestige Awards.
To commemorate this significant achievement, Hammond Opticians organized a two-day event on October 3 and 4. The celebration welcomed patients and community members, and a raffle was conducted to support the Enfield Food Bank.
